Our story.
Golden Spruce Retreat is the culmination life work between husband and wife creative team of Ashley Natalya Imboden and Taylor Talmage. Lovers of wild places and beauty they were drawn down the dirt road in 2013 with aspirations to create a home close to the Ocean and surrounded by Forest. They instantly felt their hearts sing once they saw the potential for the land and vision for a communal space of healing and sanctuary. Taylor is a sculptor, ceramicist, architect, builder, and maker who’s natural instinct is in creating Art in whatever he directs his attention to. Maintaining the connection to the natural landscape and a sense of the spaciousness informed his design and vibrates through every inch of the home and outer structures. Ashley, a landscape designer in her twenties and plant fanatic for life, focused on creating the outer surroundings to offer biodiversity and bounty for human hearts. Ashley recognizes the effortless presence and clarity that the home and land offers for a deep shared experience for retreats. Together with their son Cyrus, they have been transformed by the process of this creation and are ready to invite you into the sanctuary of Being here.
